Britain has had ‘diplomatic contact’ with Syria’s HTS group

LONDON – Britain has had diplomatic contact with the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group that swept Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power last week, British foreign minister David Lammy said on Sunday.
